Encryption in transit and at rest
All Belrald traffic is secured over TLS 1.2+. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 on managed database infrastructure, including automated backups.
Belrald is built for institutions that cannot afford to be casual about security — student records, financial data, academic decisions. Here's how we protect it.
All Belrald traffic is secured over TLS 1.2+. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256 on managed database infrastructure, including automated backups.
Every action in Belrald is scoped to a role — Admin, Registrar, Bursar, Lecturer, Student and any custom role your institution defines. Access is least-privilege by default.
Sign-ins, permission changes, record edits and administrative actions are immutably logged with actor, device, IP address and timestamp — available to your ICT and audit teams.
Daily automated backups with point-in-time recovery. Critical data is replicated across availability zones with tested restore procedures.
Your institution owns its data. You can export your records at any time, and we will never use institutional data to train models or share with third parties.
Security incidents are triaged within 1 hour, with customer notification within 24 hours where an institution is affected. Post-incident reports are provided to your ICT lead.
