Why we built Belrald
A note to the institutional leaders we build for.
We started Belrald because tertiary institutions across Africa were being asked to deliver world-class outcomes on top of systems held together by spreadsheets, paper forms and software from the early 2000s.
We saw registrars chasing signatures across four buildings to process a single admission. Bursars closing the books two weeks after the session ended. Students queuing in person to check results that were already published elsewhere. The work itself wasn't broken — the tooling was.
Belrald is built for the modern tertiary institution in all its forms: Universities, Polytechnics, Monotechnics, Colleges of Education, Technical Schools and Learning Institutes. Every programme, every campus, every role — on one platform.
We're focused on Africa first because this is where we understand the problem best. And we're building for the long term, with institutional customers who expect software that works on day-one, year-ten and every day in between.
